This painting has been in my head for so long, and as I start doing something like this the artistic process takes over and the outcome is nearly always a surprise! So here it is so far. The design of Vesica Pisces is two intersecting circles where the perimeter of each goes through the centre points of the other.
It’s a classical geometric figure used in many designs and is so named because the centre resembles a fishes' bladder. (I know, I know, I also think it resembles a fish actually, but Vesica Pisces means fish's bladder or literally "vessel of the fish" in Latin. The Early Christians used it as a secret symbol because the ΙΧΘΥΣ, (fish in Greek) Ichthys, is an anagram for Jesus Christ.
Actually ΙΧΘΥΣ is an acronym of:

Χριστος

which means Jesus Christ, of god the Son, Saviour. Just thought you would like to know! Su
thanks - and I love all the Greek (even though its Greek to me) it's a stunning alphabet!
