Art in Action - 2 carvers

What is very exciting about Art in Action is the diversity and contrasts. In the Letter Carving tent, John Neilson was carving chunky letters while next to him Louise Tiplady had some delicate poetry in stone.

She entered this beautiful little bowl in the Best of the Best pavilion:
AND ALL SHALL BE WELL

and then next to her:

John Neilson.
Aren't these textures just magnificent?

PS Talking of Letter Exchange - I am Speakers Organiser and this year we have a fab line-up starting with Donald Jackson who created and co-ordinated the St John's Bible project , with selected scribes, and artists, also participating himself. It took 12 years to write the 1150 pages.his designs. This is on the 17th October 2012 at the Artworker's Guild. For more info. look at the same website www.letterexchange.org
