The Letter Exchange Exhibition promises to be an exciting one.
There so many ways of interpreting this, from political interpretations, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and many more. One of the things that I thought about was a quotation from Joan Baez where she said something like "after fighting so hard for freedom of speech people express themselves using such ugly language".
Then I spoke to Megan my daughter and she told me about her story Rope of Words, which she said she was working on intermittently. That appealed to me initially, but the format of 40cm square didn't suit it and an individual piece might not work very well. I then went back to the very beginning - John 1: In the beginning was the word .. and I took it from there. You saw the two pieces which I didn't enter, and I'll show you the one I selected when the exhibition opens. (And Rope of Words is happening anyway as an artisit's book.)
