Books and Boxes 1

Well, we've just been for a nice snowy walk with Islay, watched the kids sledging nearby then dropped into the pub for a drink. I thought winter was never going to come this year, but it has finally, and it's lovely.
Now...

this is the final free taster for the moment: Books and Boxes.

The free taster starts at the very beginning with an introduction of tools and materials and instructions on how to make a very professional looking little concertina book, plus a Really Useful Bookbinder's List.

I like "books with content" and always look for a harmonious relationship between the content, the way it is shown, the cover, the materials and the details (like the little cord that closes it)

This book has some drawing which I did in-situ when visiting the Glasgow School of Art, which was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Now there is an artist / architect who attended to every detail no matter how minute.

Limetrees Club will have various modules available after this, initially at £2.00 per module and later as the website is developed, there will  be a forum and gallery to show your work. It is £10.00 per module if you'd like a 1/2 hour crit or chat with the tutor.
