Painting on safari

I really don't like painting scenery or animals; preferring abstracts (although curiously enough I do get involved in close up botanicals - as you'll see today and also with my orchids)

You have to look really hard to see the added lettering. (Try double clicking the image to enlarge it). I planned the lettering in a very rough sketch then just went with the flow and if it didn't quite fit, I adapted the size or positioning of it. I love working like this as it's spontaneous and more often than not works out anyway. Tomorrow I'll show one more from the safari and then the travelling art equipment.
