The first two mini projects in "Find Your Artist" (FYA)
The day of promises has dawned and the builders are still running around the building doing finishing touches!
So let me tell you a bit about Limetrees Studio's tutorials, then introduce the first of the free tasters.
What Tutorials will be on offer?
Initially, Calligraphy by Mary Noble, Books and Boxes and Find Your Artist by Lin.
We are working hard to develop modules. More tutors will come on board once we have launched the on-line tutorials.
Find Your Artist: Postcard Designs 1 and 2 - Introducing Colour
Who is it for?
- People who would like to connect with their artistic side
- artists who feel they are in a rut
- would-be artists
- makers who want to gain creative confidence and artistic skills.
What is the inspiration behind the course?
I’ve been tutoring a group called Open Books since 2001. We started off making “books with content” and I gave them themes for inspiration. We kept meandering off into short courses on colour, techniques, drawing and fine art which usually metamorphosed into journals and little books.I came to see that the groups’ interest was to enjoy creativity and have interesting starting points, while learning new ways of seeing as well as making books. And during that time, I discovered that my Open Books group “found their artist that resides inside them”.
My thanks to all of you who are still part of Open Books or who have journeyed alongside us at some stage.
How do we get feedback?
The courses are untutored and there will be a forum and gallery for uploads, (still coming) but there is also a one-to-one option with critique / chats.
Is it expensive?
No, it is a nominal fee like many downloads. You may pay by Pay Pal and order a pdf. But there is a free taster to introduce the course and show you the style of teaching.
Many more answers can be found in the Free Taster Tutorial and FAQ's, so e-mail for your Free Taster asap. Please give your name and the code: K-FYA Free Taster.
Will you still show how to do things on the blog?
Of course. Tomorrow is a very basic building block! Cutting paper with a scalpel.
